It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary E. Grote of Council Bluffs, Iowa, born in Harlan, Iowa, who passed away on November 27, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Jay D. Miles; her grandson Damien; and her siblings, Connie Heller and John Miles. She is survived by: her husband Michael Grote of Council Bluffs; her children, Todd Grote (Kendra) of Harlan, Adam Grote (Tawny) of Atlantic, Iowa and Emily Bentzen (Byron) of Council Bluffs; her grandchildren, Dakota and Grace; her sisters, Bonnie Doyle (Dennis) of Littleton, Janice Gaul (Jim) of Earling, Carol Rishling (Cliff) of Omaha and Peggy Linton (John) of Ft. Calhoun, Nebraska; and her brother-in-law Bernie Heller of Council Bluffs. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to St. Patrick's Church.
