Lois Mathews Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 25, 2023, at the age of 97, Lois Mathews (Council Bluffs, Iowa), born in Canby, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Beattie and Thomas Beattie; her husband John Mathews; and her brothers, Warren and Gordan Beattie.

She is survived by: her siblings, Debra, Dawn and John; her children, Debra Ludwick (Dave), Dawn Burkett (Matthew) and Jason Mathews (Connie); her grandchildren, Caleb Ludwick (Prashansa), Erin Schroeder (Michael), Jon Ludwick (Tendai), Joshua Mathews (Sydney), Cailey Anderson (Connor) and Mark Burkett; and her great grandchildren, Selah Mathews, Ariah Mathews and Joslyn Schroeder.

During this time, Lois endured the loss of her vision and Covid isolation.
