Lantz (Council Bluffs, Iowa), born in Chariton, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 29, 2024 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse "Bud" Allan Riggs and Delores Arline Myers Riggs; her son Steven Derrick Bates (DeWayne); and her brother Allan Riggs. She is survived by: her sons, Brian Bates (Kathy) of Griswold, Iowa, Kevin Bates (Dacia) of Merrill, Iowa and Aaron Bates (Megan) of Griswold, Iowa; her grandchildren, Chris Bates (Jesi), Allison Bates, Sya Bates, Jordyn Toha, Makenzie Bates and Alex Bates; her great grandchildren, Bristol, Chayse Bates and Isaac Orton; and her sisters, Kathy Knott (Byron) of Council Bluffs and Patty Brandes (Doug) of Easton, Pennsylvania..
