He was predeceased by: his father Roger Funkhouser; and his brother Donald Funkhouser. He is survived by: his mother Jean Funkhouser (Fitzsimmons); his close friend Sherry Harris; his children, Paige Funkhouser (Abel Alcaraz), Desirae Funkhouser and Aaron Funkhouser; and his siblings, Roger Funkhouser, Aaron Funkhouser (Clarinda) and Kimberly Koning (Jeff). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home (1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501).
