He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth R. Walling and Julia N. Walling; his parents-in-law, Junior and Betty Bertelsen; and his siblings-in-law, Janet L. Witt, Keith Bertelsen and Ronnie Bertelsen.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Walling; his children, Amber Walling (Jesse Lantz), Jamie Landon (Justin), Erika Landon (Mike) of Omaha and Kenny Walling (Rashelle); his brother David Walling (Tami); his grandchildren, Tysen Walling, Kayleigh, Addison, Penelope Mericle, Laura Walling, Levi, Lexi, Leah Landon, Benjamin Walling, Justin and Vincent Landon; and his close friend Tiny. He is also survived by dog; many nieces, nephews, and other family members including Julie's sisters and brother.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home & Crematory (545 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials will be directed by the family.
