We bid farewell to Karla Smith (Council Bluffs, Iowa), born in Charles City, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 24, 2024 at the age of 80. Karla touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leona Hallberg and Norman Hallberg; her sister Kristeen Boyd; her grandchildren, Gabriel Smith, Nicklaus (Andrea), Tylar (Danzel), Peyton, Mia, Cara and Alyssa; her great grandchild Coen; her sisters, Karen and Kathy (Mel); and her great-aunt JoAnn.
She is survived by: her significant other Bill Smith. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Our Saviors Lutheran, Council Bluffs or the Methodist/Jennie Edmundson Labor and Delivery Department through the Jennie Edmundson Foundation in Karla's memory.
