Karen Brandenburg Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Thompson and Alvina Thompson (Laaker); her husband Garland Brandenburg; and her brother Larry Thompson. She is survived by: her children, Lisa Uhlenkamp, Rodney Brandenburg (Tia) and Roger Brandenburg (Jill); her siblings, Janice Goodin (Gene) and Ron Thompson (Colleen); her sister-in-law Mary Thompson; her grandchildren, Jordan West (Wil), Amanda Gammell (Steven), Bailey Sindelar (Josh), Brody Brandenburg and Jackson Brandenburg; and her great grandchildren, Emersyn Gammell, Kade Gammell, Hank West, George West and Zelma Sindelar. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home (1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501). A prayer was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Saint Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (239 Frank St, Council Bluffs, IA 51503).
