With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Victor Swanson of Council Bluffs, Iowa, born in Inland, Nebraska, who passed away on September 13, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Victor A. Swanson; his wife Nellie E. Swanson; his children, Karla Shewey and Bruce Swanson; his granddaughter Starla Young; and his son-in-law Jan Kirke.
He is survived by: his children, Clayton Swanson (Tanya) of Council Bluffs, Mike Swanson (Patty) of Council Bluffs, Kathy Kirke of Omaha, Latricia Johnson of Council Bluffs, Kevin Swanson (Julie) of Council Bluffs and Jeffery Swanson (Tammy) of Council Bluffs; his daughter-in-law Joann Swanson of Ozark, Missouri; and his sister Vivian Uden of Hastings, Nebraska. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.
The family will direct memorial contributions.
