It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Mary Finerty (Council Bluffs, Iowa), who passed away on May 18, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Ingwersen and Lillian Ingwersen; her husband John Daniel Finerty; her daughters, Patricia and Connie; her brother Darold; and her sister-in-law Leah Ingwersen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Gau (Ron) of Persia and Karen Waltz (Paul) of Clive, Iowa; and her son-in-law George Harman (Mary) of Lincoln, Nebraska. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, please make monetary memorials to the family for further distribution to St. Mary's Catholic Church - Portsmouth, Alzheimer's Awareness Fund, Catholic Daughters of America, and Persia Fire Department.
