We are sad to announce that on December 19, 2023, at the age of 87, Jeanette Volkens of Council Bluffs, Iowa, born in Carroll, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jeanette Volkens to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Skinner and Lucille Skinner; her son Douglas; and her siblings, Lyle, Larry Skinner and Carlene Allard.

She is survived by: her husband Wendell Volkens; her daughters, Denise Watts of Omaha and Amy Whittemore (Greg) of Plano, Texas; her grandchildren, DJ Watts, Kendall and Harper Whittemore; and her sisters-in-law, Phyllis Skinner and Lois Skinner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
