It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Runte in Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hanson and Hulda Hanson; and her siblings, Virginia Woods, Frances Carlson, Evelyn Bellew, Delores Gregorius, Ernest Hanson, Nels Hanson, Luther Hanson, William Hanson and Harold Wayne.
She is survived by: her daughter Christine McMurray (Jay); her grandchildren, Megan McMurray and Justin McMurray (Jodi); her great grandchildren, Jaymeson McMurray and Jayda McMurray; and her sister Ida Henderson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Gethsemane Presbyterian Church (224 Wallace Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51501). A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
