He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Stockton; and his sisters, Jeanette Hansen and Charlene "LaVonne" Williams. He is survived by: his children, Kathy Ring, James Dean Stockton (Lois), Kelly Sue Stockton and Michelle Stockton; his partner Loan Dang; and his siblings, Carolyn Schneider, Marvin Dean Stockton (Joy Pudenz), Larry Stockton (Juanita), Richard Stockton (Pam), Linda Paridee and Joe Stockton (Judy). He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
