He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Powers and Dorothy Powers (Hainline); his stepfather Clay Long; his son-in-law Albert Homer; his brother Bill Powers; and his stepsiblings, Gene Long and Grace Randal.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Powers; and his children, Jack Powers (Nancy), Gary Powers (Ann), Julie Homer and Joni Huddleston (Charly). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
