It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gretchen M. Thompson of Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on November 12, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Thompson (Dick); her parents, Edward Leick and Gertrude Leick (Longeway); her brother Bernard Leick; her daughter Kathy Thompson; and her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Thompson (Hagen).

She is survived by: her children, Being, Jeff, Mark, Jennifer (Lillian) and Julie; and her sisters, Mary Kathleen Jensen and Geraldine Shestak. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and friends who were her extended family.
