He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert McComas and Faye McComas (Allen); his brother Dick McComas; and his grandchildren, Julia, Christian and Reid McComas.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret McComas of Council Bluffs; his children, Deborah (Steve Lovette), Carroll (Julie McComas) and Matthew Craig (Nicole McComas); and his sister Margaret Shoemaker of Nevada, Iowa. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home & Crematory (545 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
