He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Reid and Bertha Reid (Korth); his daughter Maureen Henderson; and his siblings, Lyle E. Reid, Glen R. Reid, Marvin E. Reid, Olive, LaVerta, Judith and Iona.
He is survived by: his children, Christina Gardner, Teresa Heywood, Jerry Reid, Jr., Mike Reid and James Reid. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home & Crematory (545 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503).
