It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald D. Waltrip (Council Bluffs, Iowa), who passed away on September 17, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Waltrip and Mary Cerovak; and his siblings, Delores Harrison, Leonard Waltrip, Johnny Waltrip and Kathy Waltrip.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Dwaine Waltrip (Marie), Jim Waltrip (Roger) of Pam Mass and Cassandra Waltrip (Scott Boulas); and his sister Patricia Mihalyak (Miss Sue Wilson).
Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of Carter Lake Catholic Church or to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
