It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene J. Rodenburg of Council Bluffs, Iowa, born in Neola, Iowa, who passed away on July 24, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward C. Rodenburg and Helen M. Rodenburg (Bonnes); his wife Jean; his son-in-law John Priebe; his siblings, Wayne and Leah Ingwersen; and his brother-in-law Stan Collins.
He is survived by: his parent-in-law Jean Nelsen; his children, Mary Cano of Fritch, Karen Priebe (John) of Council Bluffs and Edward Rodenburg (Lynda) of Omaha; his grandsons, Bryan Wakefield, David Wakefield, Brandon Rodenburg, Matthew Rodenburg (Angie) and Eric Priebe; and his sister Marilyn Collins of Lakewood, Colorado. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
