It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frank Fichter of Council Bluffs, Iowa, born in Carson, Iowa, who passed away on September 14, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank, Jr. Fichter and Erma Fichter (Keaton); his wife Joyce; his daughter Cathy Freitas; his grandson Christopher Collins; his siblings, Jim Fichter, John Fichter and Jenny Hiatt; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Fichter and Elvin Heiman.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Fichter, Brenda Turnage (Edwin), Frank Fichter, Jr. (Penelope) and Toney Fichter (Marsha); and his sister Betty Gardner-Heiman. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
