With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donna M. Heffernan of Council Bluffs, Iowa, born in Onawa, Iowa, who passed away on August 1, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her adoptive parents, Frank Laidler and Minnie Laidler (Hedum); her husband Robert Heffernan; her granddaughter Becky Price; and her son-in-law Bill Hunt.
She is survived by: her children, Suzan James (Terry) of Lake Havasu, AZ, Robert Heffernan, Jr. (Dorothy) of Council Bluffs, Julie Heffernan of Council Bluffs, Laura Hunt of Council Bluffs, Terese Davis (Dan) of Crescent, IA, Cynthia Hanneman of Council Bluffs, Heidi Zaccone of Council Bluffs and Daniel Heffernan (Kris) of Council Bluffs. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to Corpus Christi Catholic Church or to the new V.A. Hospital.
