With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Delwin Schnepel (Council Bluffs, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 7, 2025 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Delwin Schnepel to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Schnepel and Freda Schnepel; his stepfather Earl Hartje; and his brothers, Derald Schnepel and Gerald Schnepel.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Schnepel; his children, Thomas Schnepel (Lori), Ann Brust (David), Janice Carlson (Doug) and John Schnepel (Dawn); his grandchildren, Brian Schnepel (Carlie), Amanda Brandon (Tate), Benjamin Schnepel, Holly Green (Josh), Eric Mong, Kristina Staab (Matthew), Sara Kraft (Justin), Andrew Carlson (Heather) and Zachary Schnepel (Kahea); and his great grandchildren, Conner, Charlotte Brandon, Landon Horton, Joanna, Charlotte Staab, Augustine, Gianna, Gabriel, Dominic, Isabella Kraft and Alexander Carlson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home (1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Saint Peter's Catholic Church or the Josie Harper Hospice House.
