He was predeceased by: his mother-in-law Helen Ellis; his brother-in-law Terry Ellis; and his pet Buddy. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Penkert (Ellis); his niece Molly (Donny Cerwick); his cousins, Judy Fontana, Kent (Lynn), Oestenstad (Moore) and Larry (Betty); and his caregiver Nancy Nabor.
