He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Evans and Doris Evans; his parents-in-law, Theodore and Ellen Kyster; his granddaughter Jodie Ziegler; and his brother-in-law Theodore Kyster.

He is survived by: his wife Carmella Kyster Evans; his children, Denny Evans (Carla), Linda Ziegler, Cheri Elbert (Joe) and Steve Evans (Gwen); his grandchildren, Jason Markussen (Tiffany), Jeff Ziegler (Sarah), Christie Evans, Kellie Armstong (Chad), Corrie Dollen (Nathan), Rebecca Evans and Ryan Evans; and his sister-in-law Marilee Kyster. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
