He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Nielson of Council Bluffs and Laurie Burns of Modale, IA.; his grandchildren, Markie Means (Devin) of Missouri Valley, IA., Tyler Burns of Modale and Josh Dunn of Modale; his siblings, Linda Clark of Council Bluffs and Paul Nielson of LaVista, NE.; and his nephew Garrett Nielson of Guam. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Hope Lodge at the Mayo Clinic and Prairie Gate in Council Bluffs.
