He was predeceased by: his close friend Connie Jo; his parents, W. Buell Gode and Helen Christiansen Gode; his sister Janet Kay Mooney (Gode); and his nephew Mark Mooney.
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Maurice Mooney of Harpers Ferry; his niece Erin Berns (Brad) of Waukon; his nephew Greg Mooney (Erin) of West Salem, WI; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brock, Brigid, Brenna, Carson, Kyla, Jake and Reese; and his caregiver Tracy Thomas (Steve).
