We are sad to announce that on July 12, 2019, at the age of 87, Verlon Metzger (Corydon, Iowa), born in Chariton, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Phil Metzger and Nina Metzger (Allred); his wife Maxine West; his son Randy Metzger; and his sister Evelyn.
He is survived by: his former wife Marian Frazier; his children, Gary Metzger, Donna Motz (Bill), Rick Metzger (Jill) and Diana Gerving; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Seanna, Kaila, Randy Joe, Ryan, Byran "Scott", Rachel, Megan, Lindsey and Dylan; and his stepchildren, Vickie Shafer, Susan Davis (Daryl), Earnest West (Susan), Daniel West (Danette) and James West (Connie). He is also survived by 19 step grandchildren, 40 step great grandchildren and 9 step great-great grandchildren.
