He is survived by: his close friend TJ; his wife Carolyn Coates; his children, John Timothy Coates, Jamie Lee Coates, Joseph Michael Coates (Amanda), Dawn Renee Jones (Jody) and Darren Lynn Beavers (Molly); his grandchildren, Taylor Davis, Abby Cassady (Paige), Dylan Coates, Ryan Coates, Emilee Coates, Valerie Coates, Madison Parker, Payten Coates, Mackenzie Parker, Korben Coates, Broden Coates, Graydon Parker, Aubrey Decker (Dillon), Garrett Jones (Heidi), Wyatt Beavers and Walker Beavers; and his great grandchildren, Aleigh Decker, Archer Decker, Piercely Jones, Hoyt Jones and Vanessa Sorbo.
