He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith Grimes and Margaret Grimes (Wilson); and his siblings, Margaret Searby, Peggy Grimes, Larry and Jerry Grimes.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Haussermann; his sons, Brian Grimes (Christine), Chris Grimes (Christine) and Timothy Grimes; his grandchildren, Olivia Dykes (Dustin), Logan, Geremiah, Tiffney, Katherine Grimes and Emma Anderson; his siblings, Virginia Bettis (Gaylon), Louise Pence (Bob), John Grimes (Nancy) and Jim Grimes (JoAnn); and his brother-in-law Earl Searby. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
