He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Spinler and Alice Spinler. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ellis; his children, Mark, Diane Fleming (Tom) and Kari Spinler (Paula); and his daughter-in-law June Spinler. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Memorials may be made in Dale's name to the Lucas County Veterans Memorial Park.
