Betty Carpenter Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Horner and Wanda Horner (Hellyer); her husband Jimmy Lynn Carpenter; her parents-in-law, Elmer and Anita Carpenter; her siblings-in-law, Franklin Gault, Fredrick "Bud" Brown, Betty Brown and Jean Carpenter; and her great grandchild Dallas Layne Rochholz.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Lynne, Rebecca Sue, Douglas Jay, Danny Joe, Sandy Holmes (Kenny), Brenda Dodson (Kevin), Becky Wittry (Dick), Doug Carpenter (Angie) and Dan Carpenter (Ashley); her grandchildren, Rachel Dodson Weitzel (Josh), Chelsey Holmes Markle (Ryan), Kara Dodson Palmer (Nick), Samantha Holmes Lexa (Steve), Allison Wittry Warnke (Austin), Tia Carpenter McElvain, Brooke Wittry Comer (Matt), Shailey Carpenter, Luke Carpenter and Claire Carpenter; her great grandchildren, Hinley Weitzel, Eperlie Weitzel, Cash McElvain, Corver Weitzel, Stayer Weitzel, Ryenne Palmer, James Lexa, Finn Warnke, Isaac Markle, Vaysee Weitzel, River Palmer, Alice Lexa and Anson Warnke; her sister Donna Gault of Tipton; and her brother-in-law Bill Carpenter (Ida) of Allerton. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 24, 2020 from 10 a. m. – 7:00 p. m. with family present from 5-7 p. m. Anyone attending the visitation and funeral will be required to wear a mask and are asked to practice social distancing.
Memorials may be given to New Providence Baptist Church, Wayne County Hospital Auxiliary, or Wayne Community School.
