She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Ayers and Margaret Ayers (Edson); her husband John; her sons, Kevin Burrs and Scott Burrs; her grandson Andrew Rasmussen; her great grandchild Cael Subject; her brother William; and her sister-in-law Nancy Ayers.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Rasmussen and Ann Carroll (Bruce); her brother Jim Ayers (Hope); her grandchildren, Tricia McGregor (Duane), Cassie Collins (Bruce), Daniel Burrs (Melissa), Kristin Wempen (Brad), Katie Vohs, Stacy Eekhoff (Ben), Tony Rasmussen (Amanda), Cory Burrs (Samantha), Matthew Burrs (Marina), Renae Vaske (Grant), Rachael Jacobson (Nate) and Jason Carroll (Jamie); and also Susan Burrs. She is also survived by 36 great-grandchildren and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Corwith United Methodist Church (214 Clinton St, Corwith, IA 50430). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Croix Hospice in Sue's name.
