He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Hunwardsen and Ella Hunwardsen (Christophsen); his parents-in-law, Dick and Pauline Deeds; his sister Vera "Babe" Lorenzen; and his siblings-in-law, Rosalie Hunwardsen, Agnes Albers, Sandy Albers, Sally Deeds, Richard Albers, Gaylon Gotliebson and Burdette Lorenzen.
He is survived by: his wife Janice; his daughters, Sharmon Riedesel (Ronald) of Sioux City, IA and Jeannie; his siblings, Earl Hunwardsen (Joann) of Lodi, CA, Dale Hunwardsen of Anthon, IA, Gary Hunwardsen (Mary) of Kingsley, IA and Lois Gotliebson of Colfax, WI; his granddaughter Monique Johnson (Wally Hinote); and his great grandchildren, Kaydin Johnson, Paxton Johnson and Dash Hinote. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
