He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Pierce and Mabel Pierce (Wacheldorf); his wife Betty Siefke; and his brothers, Glenn "Smokey", Louis, Melvin, Roger "Butch", Darrell and Wayne.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra "Barnie" Goettsch (Brian) of Galva, IA, Larry Pierce, Jr. of Elk Point, SD, Phil Pierce (Jo) of Sioux City, IA and Laurie Pierce of Sioux City, IA; his grandchildren, Shane Pierce, Stephanie Brandt, Chad Pierce, Ryan Goettsch, Nicole Koster and Annie Pierce; his brother Terry Pierce (Rhonda) of Redmond, OR; and his siblings-in-law, JoAnn Pierce of Sioux City, IA, Laquita Pierce of Anthon, IA and Brad Siefke of Washta, IA.. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home (4245 US-20, Correctionville, IA 51016). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at the Correctionville Cemetery - Correctionville.
