He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Roggatz and Ellen Roggatz (Jeffrey); his brothers, Wayne Roggatz and Ron Roggatz; his siblings-in-law, Bob Lyman, Lois Roggatz, Linda Roggatz and Marge Lyman; his nephews, Duane Roggatz and Byron Roggatz; his parents-in-law, Hazel Jackson and Thomas Jackson; and his son-in-law Mike Frahm.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Roggatz of Correctionville; his children, Jason Roggatz of Correctionville, IA and Loretta Swanson (Jim) of Homer, NE; his grandchildren, Britney Goodwin (Michael) of Pittsfield, NH, Erin Frahm (Jacob Rader) of Homer, NE, Sidney Swanson of Sioux City, IA and Sam Swanson (Annie) of Homer, NE; his great grandchild Oliver Swanson of Homer, NE; and his brother Alvin Roggatz (Sandy) of Correctionville, IA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home (4245 US-20, Correctionville, IA 51016). A prayer was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (828 Driftwood St, Correctionville, IA 51016). Viewing was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the American Legion. A burial was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at the Correctionville Cemetery - Correctionville.
