She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Walling and Gertrude Walling (Rohde); her husband Leslie Petersen of Joseph's Catholic Church; her siblings, Margaret White, Kathryn Peter, Corleen Uhl-Anderson, Alice King, Lorraine Warren, Bernadine Walling, Donald Walling, Richard Walling and Bill Walling; and her daughter-in-law Jennifer Petersen.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Jacobson (Earl) of Denver, CO, Janet Erbe (Bob) of Omaha, NE, Barbara Utesch (Kirk) of Correctionville, IA, Kenny Petersen (Melanie) of Correctionville, IA, Mike Petersen (Debbie) of Parkland, FL and Steve Petersen of Libertyville, IL; and her sister Colette Goettsch. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
