He is survived by: his wife Sheryl K. Hamann; his children, Kami Ashley Farrington (Hal) of Virginia, LtCol, Ken Ashley (Lisa) of Waukee and Tony Ashley (Cara) of Correctionville; his grandchildren, Lauren, Seth, Justin, Hannah, Arianna, Aziah, Ava, Apphia and Amara; his great grandchildren, Shane and Eric; his grandchildren, Elliott and Alyvia; and his siblings-in-law, Vicky Mead (Steve), Bryan Hamann (Martha) and Paul Chasteen.
