He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Sands and Matilda Sands (Roggatz); and his wife Mildred June Knudsen. He is survived by: his children, Norma Benson of Pierson, IA, Duane Sands (Diane) of North Port, FL, Donna Reiss of Holstein, IA and Larry Sands of Correctionville, IA; and his sisters, Dorothy Parker, Laura Williams and Louise Gaines. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
