Nila Edwards Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nila Edwards (Corning, Iowa), who passed away on November 2, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Gildea and Helga Matilda Olivia Hoffman (Odin); her husband Toby; her son Todd Edwards; her daughter-in-law Pamela Edwards; and her siblings, Bud, Barney Hoffman, Beverly Schaffer and Evona Pittman.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Edwards (Cindy South) of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Teresa Joss (Robert) of Woodburn, Iowa, Tyler Edwards (Marcy) of Corning, Iowa and Tammy Riesenberg (Gary) of Prescott, Iowa; and her sister LaVee Bauer of Paton. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Prescott United Church - Disciples of Christ (405 6th Ave, Prescott, IA 50859). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
