He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ellis and Adeline Luella Jones (Roberts); his stepfather Edwin Elder; his sisters, Terry and Nancy; his brother-in-law Joe Bradley; his uncle James "Buzz" Roberts; and his cousin Cindy Roberts.

He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Marie Childs; his sisters, Sally Teaman (Garry) and Susan Hall (Mike); his aunt Charlotte Roberts; his cousin Jimmy Roberts; his parents-in-law, Auda Childs (Rob) and Merrill Childs (Linda); and his siblings-in-law, Chris Childs (Melissa), Kayce Pudenz (Steve) and Lauren Davies (Ryan).
