He was predeceased by: his parents, Myron Shires and Jan Shires (Tucker) of Weslaco, Texas; his mother-in-law Ruby June Crill; his nephew Lucas Sweeney; his grandparents, Donald, Hallene Shires, Jeanne Shires, Roe and Marjorie Tucker; his great-niece Ada Crill; and his stepgrandson Austin Vais.

He is survived by: his wife Lori Crill of Corning; his daughter Heidi; his grandchild Joey; his son-in-law Josh Webster of Maryville; his grandchildren, Crosby, Corby and Kiptyn; his daughter Darci Shires of Corning; his grandchildren, Lilli and Mia; his son Joey of Corning; his pets, Moxie and Pearl; his father-in-law Don Crill of Prescott; his siblings, Donna, Debbie, Donald and Danny; and his friend Shriner.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Adams County Shriners.
