As we bid Mark farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mark is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his father Wayne Stratton; and his sisters, Kathy Stratton and Malissa Stratton. He is survived by: his mother Janis Stratton (Parizek) of Coralville; his daughter Katherine Stratton of Sausalito, CA; his siblings, Steve Stratton (June) of Ely, Susan Falvo (Perry) of Plano, TX and Gerri Lueck (Tom) of Western, IA; and his former wife Marianne Daly. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A reception will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the American Legion Post 271 (901 E 2nd Ave, Coralville, IA 52241).
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be directed to the Sierra Club or Defenders of Wildlife.
