He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph L. Pearce and Delphia Ruth Pearce (Griffith); and his brother Joseph L. "Bud" Pearce, Jr.. He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Bill, Sally, John, Jane, Jim Pearce, Andy, Daniel and Lee Smith; his wife Patsy Pearce; his daughters, Sherilyn Pearce (Scott Gunn) and Melissa Ryan (David); his grandchildren, Bailey Ryan and Caitlin Ryan; and his siblings-in-law, Jo Pearce and John Smith (Jean).
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (140 Gathering Pl, Iowa City, IA 52246).
