He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Miller and Sadie Miller; his wife Charlotte Perry; and his siblings, Ethel Cruzan and John.
He is survived by: his children, Rick (Nancy), Greg (Susan) and Sue Miller (Jeanne Cochran); and his grandchildren, Melissa Tvedte (Ben), Alex Miller (Sarah Bavier), Nick Miller (Sabrina Frasie) and Casey Miller (Elizabeth Mensing).
Memorial donations for Howard will be distributed to Scout Troop 560 and the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight and can be mailed to 3786 Cottage Reserve Road, Solon, IA 52333.
