He was predeceased by: his parents, Pardon F. Scott and Inez R. Scott (Gravenstein); his wife Marilyn Rankin; his niece Sharon Nelson; his nephew Mike Nelson; and his sisters, Alberta Mae Phillips-McPhearson, Elizabeth Nelson (Robert) and Frances Faye Conkwright (James).
He is survived by: his sons, Daniel of Houston, TX, David (Janis) of Redlands, CA and Dale (Linda) of Iowa City, IA; his grandchildren, Ryan Hurt of Iowa City, Samuel Scott (Tatum) of North Liberty, Joseph Scott of Iowa City and Jacob Scott of Redlands, CA; and his nieces and nephews, Kay (Conkwright), Young (Bruce) of Walton, KS, Roberta (Nelson) of Lawrence, KS, Vicki Phillips-McPhearson, Gary Nelson of Charleston, NC and Mark Phillips-McPhearson.
