He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Bancroft and Bette Bancroft; and his sisters, Marsha and Glenda. He is survived by: his former wife Rebecca Knipe (Chyma); his wife Jeanne Hand Jones; his stepchildren, Shannon and Brian; his children, Noelle Borden (Jared), Beau, Remy and Joy Mauskemo (Trevor); his grandchildren, Teya and Sloan; and his brother Kevin Bancroft (Laurie).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials are directed toward the Association of Frontotemporal Degeneration or to the Iowa City Community School District Foundation.
