He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Spangler and Arlene Spangler (Ober); and his brother Mark Spangler. He is survived by: his children, Bryan Spangler (Jennifer) of Coon Rapids, Amanda Spangler of Coon Rapids and Dustin Spangler (Kim) of Davenport; his grandchildren, Adalynn, Brevin, Steven and Blake; his siblings, Wes Spangler (Kathy) of Aurora, Kevin Spangler of Estherville and Luana Johnson (Jon) of Story City; and his sister-in-law Terry Spangler of Mankato, Minnesota. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 511 Main St, Coon Rapids, IA 50058.
