He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Otto and Orlene Augusta O'Tool (Garrels); his former wife Louise Pearl Langbein; his siblings-in-law, Bonita O'Tool, Don Langbein (Jackie), Dorthy Bowman (Carl), John Langbein and Virgil Hubbard; his stepson Rick Middleton; and his stepson-in-law Randy Wall.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita; his children, Margo Wald (Tom) of Goldfield, IA, Mark (Angela) of Omaha, NE, Marlene Doolittle (David) of Story City, IA and Marlyn (Tina); his brother Darrel (Lorraine) of Phoenix, AZ; and his siblings-in-law, Harry Langbein (Fern) of Carrol, IA and Thelma Hubbard of Winterset, IA. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
