He is survived by: his wife Jane Hanning; his children, David Hommel (Laura) and Penelope Strack (Brian); his grandchildren, Ella Hommel, Andrew Hommel, Daniel Hommel and Vivian Strack; and his sisters, Priscilla Hoag (Robert) and Nancy Luzer (Rick).
