He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmo Lutes and Mildred Lutes (Halstead); his wife Sharon Lutes (Morris); his daughter Diana Lutes (Goedken); and his siblings, Ted Thomas, Harry Lutes, Carroll Lutes, Charming Bennethum, Barb Meyer, Frieda Peters, Gladys Lane and Janet Hamilton.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Reel (Todd) of Conrad and Doug Lutes (Jill) of Conrad. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
