He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Vreeland and Pearl Vreeland; his sister Jean Miller; his aunt Rebecca Rork; his wife Ada; and his daughter-in-law Midge Vreeland (Stewart).
He is survived by: his children, Stewart Vreeland of Gray, ME, Virginia Gold (Jim Hall) of North Yarmouth, ME, Roger Vreeland (Donna) of Marshalltown, Conrad Vreeland, Jack Vreeland (Nancy Montgomery) of Portland, ME and Mary Hawk (Bill) of Vinton; his grandchildren, Zak, Wiley, Grayson Vreeland, Geoff (Shir Yin), Harry Gold (Kyle), Sam (Lindsey Eis), Natalie Vreeland, Jacob (Tiffany) and Phillip Hawk (Amber); and his great grandchildren, Dylan Gold, Isaac Gold, Calvin Vreeland and Ada Hawk. He is also survived by five children, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Donations may also be made to Conrad First Presbyterian Church or Iowa River Hospice, who took loving care of both Don and Ada.
